I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to you all, and am thankful to all our stakeholders for the continued support and encouragement given FutureBud International.

The 5^th of July, 2018 marked the 17^th anniversary of FutureBud International and I am grateful for all the support you have given us over these 16 years.

Our philosophy is to value company staff more than shareholders and further, to value clients, business partners and society before even the company staff.

Our business comprises two areas: private-sector trading and procurement of equipment for Japan’s ODA projects.

Private-sector trading the prime source of our earnings is pursued in order to develop a successful win-win relationship between customers and manufacturers; while our engagement in the ODA projects seeks to enhance living standards and to contribute to the socio-economic development of developing countries.

Trucks supplied in 2012 to Sierra Leone through an ODA project, for instance, are bringing local children food and drinking water putting smiles on their faces. In addition, we have been awarded a number of ODA related contracts which include a project to construct an extension of a pump station to protect urban dwellers in Metro Manila in the Philippines from floods, as well as a mission to build vessels to dredge ac-cumulated sediments at a hydropower station indispensable for maintaining a stable supply of electricity in the Republic of Malawi of the Southeast Africa. We also suc-cessfully completed a procurement and installation of 1.7 billion yen worth of machine parts and plants in Tajikistan of the Central Asia.

With focus on a long-term global perspective rather than on immediate profits we work to create a vibrant and prosperous global society through both private-sector trading and the ODA projects.

The global environment is changing rapidly. It is our intention to become one of the leading promoters for sustainable development of societies and economies in both the current and succeeding generations. Creating sustainable markets in developing countries is our sincere wish and we shall continue the endeavour to attain this goal.
